New Years Eve

I thought I would take a minute to reflect on this past year of marriage with Sparky. It has gone well so far with no fighting at all! :o) Hehehe. It has only been 10 days. This is not going to be much of a review after all.
Happy New Year!!

Beach Day

Yesterday Sparky and I got up and did nothing. I surfed the internet and then decided to try and tackle the challenge known as "html." I wanted to update the look of my blog without paying someone else to do it for me. I figured that if the kids in my class can do it, I could figure it out. By the look of the blog, I am sure you figured out that I am now the html master. Well...at least I know how to follow the directions I found online for how to update all the components on the blog. That is really the extend of html that I needed anyway.
Around 3:00pm Sparky started to put on his shoes to leave the room. He said he was going to go to the beach. I didn't want to be left out so we headed to the ocean. Lo and behold!!! It was warm!! I hastily scampered back to the hotel room, put on my swimsuit (I was determined to wear it on this trip), gathered my beach gear and headed out. Sparky decided I needed to bring my sun hat. I didn't want to take it so he wore it. All the way to the beach. Yes, it is on top of his baseball cap.
He got me to try it on. It made him very happy.

We enjoyed the last 2 hours of sunlight before heading back inside to get ready for dinner. We decided to go to Stonewood Bar and Grill, thinking it would be really good food cooked on a stone in a wood grill. We were very wrong. It was one of those places that costs a ton and serves very small portions. So small that you have to go to the grocery store after you leave to get real dinner. (I didn't actually end up eating another dinner, but it was ridiculously overpriced. Sparky calls it "pretty food.")

Edison/Ford Museum- Ford

Now that we have made it through the Edison side of the museum we just have a little bit farther to go to complete our tour.

Edison/Ford Museum- Edison

Today Sparky and I planned on going to Sanibel Island, FL to go shelling. We went to his parent's house to pick them up. We decided that if we got to Sanibel and we didn't find any good shells that we would leave and go to the Edison/Ford Museum. Pam pointed out that we should probably go to the museum first because it might close early. So we headed toward the museum. After plugging in the wrong place in the GPS, we ended up on Fort Myers beach. Approximately 14 miles south of the museum. Oops.

I took a TON of photos here because I want to build a house like Thomas Alva Edison built in Fort Myers for his winter home. I also took pictures of the plaques so you would know what each picture is. So I will stop writing, and you can read the signs and pretend you were there! We will begin with Edison:
