Thank you everyone for responding. I think my only concern now would be:
Do you think people would feel obligated or pressured to help/ buy a puzzle piece if I did a letter? Or should I just do this on a more public level like on Facebook to keep anyone from feeling like I singled them out?
I don't want anyone to feel like they have to participate.

I pulled a lot of sample letters that did exactly what you are wanting to do - giving information without pressuring. Let me see if they are on my EHD or if they got wiped out when my computer crashed.
